What is Beeboard?
Beeboard is an app for spray walls and board climbing. With it you can:
- Log your climbing: ascents, attempts and repeats for every problem
- Build circuits: several problems in a row, with rest periods between them
- Climb together: a Jam Session shares one queue of problems between phones
- Light up the wall: with LEDs installed, you can light up the holds of the selected problem
Step 1: Create an account
- Open the web app. The iPhone app is in closed beta; launch is planned for early 2027.
- Sign up with your email, or sign in with Google
- Choose a username and fill in your profile
Step 2: Join or create a gym
Gyms are how Beeboard organises walls and problems. A gym can be a climbing centre or a wall in your garage.
Joining a gym
- Tap Climb on the home screen
- Search for the gym by name, city or country, or find it on the map
- A private gym shows a lock. Ask a member for its 6-character code and enter it under By Code
Creating your own gym
- Tap Create New Gym
- Give it a name and a photo, and tap the map to set its location
- Choose public or private. A private gym is not on the map, and people join it with its code
Step 3: Add a wall
Walls can have several angles (for example 20°, 30° and 40°). The angles are set when you create the wall.
- In your gym, add a wall
- Upload a photo of the wall
- Pick the angles it supports
- Save
Step 4: Map your holds
Before you create problems, mark where the holds are.
- Tap the gear icon next to the wall to open the hold editor
- Tap each hold on the photo
- With LEDs: give each hold the number of the LED behind it
- Save
Step 5: Create your first problem
- In the climb screen’s menu, choose Add new problem
- Select holds and give each one its role:
- Start (green): where you start
- Standard (blue): hands and feet
- Hand (purple): hands only
- Foot (yellow): feet only
- Finish (red): where you finish
- Save, and start climbing
There is no grade to set. The first person to send the problem at an angle sets its grade there.
